IBS PRODUCTION OF QUARTER I 2013 2013 GROWING 2.63 PERCENT OF QUARTER IV TH 2012

• Production growth in the Large Manufacturing Industry of South Sumatra in the first quarter of 2013 rose by 2.63 percent (q-to-q) from the fourth quarter of 2012. Production growth in this quarter was relatively smaller compared to the growth in the previous quarter which reached 4.61 percent.
• Production growth of the Large Medium Manufacturing Industry from year to year quarter I (yon-y) grew by 13.30 percent.
• The type of IBS that experienced the highest increase in the first quarter of 2013 (q-to-q) was the Food Industry by 3.36 percent. While the types of Rubber Industry, Rubber and Plastic Goods only slowed by -5.84 percent.
• The growth of National Large and Medium Manufacturing Industry Production in the first quarter of 2013 decreased by 2.25 percent (q-to-q) from the fourth quarter of 2012, while the value of growth (y-on-y) was 8.94 percent.

GROWTH OF PRODUCTION IN 2013 TRW – I IMK UP 0.23 PERCENT OF TRW – IV TH 2012

• South Sumatra's Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry Production Growth in the first quarter of 2013 rose by 3.20 percent (q-to-q) from the fourth quarter of 2012. The largest increase was supported by the Furniture Industry, Textile Industry, Wood Industry, Wood Products and Cork (Excluding Furniture) and woven goods from Bamboo, Rattan and the like which increased above five percent.
• Growth in South Sumatra Micro and Small Manufacturing Industries in the first quarter of 2013 rose by 0.23 percent (y-on-y). The types of industries that experienced the largest growth were the Furniture Industry and the Wood Industry, Wood and Cork Products (Excluding Furniture) and Woven Goods from Bamboo, Rattan and the like, respectively 25.49 percent and 12.72 percent.
