Abstract

Export

  • The value of Sumatera Selatan’s exports in April 2024 reached US$426.33 million, increased 15.26 percent compared to exports in February 2024 and decreased 24.85 percent compared to April 2023.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in April 2024 reached US$389.72 million, decreased 15.46 percent compared to non-oil and gas exports in March 2024. Meanwhile, it decreased 25.98 percent compared to April 2023.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January – April 2024 reached US$1,816.24 million, decreased 22.30 percent over the same period in 2023.
  • The main country destinations of exports in April 2024 were China at US$147.92 million, India at US$34.24 million, and Philippines at US$33.44 million.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January– April 2024 reached US$660.18 million for China, US$199.07 million for India and US$161.64 million for Malaysia. These three countries reached 56.21 percent of total export. Meanwhile, the export to ASEAN countries and European Union are 23.95 percent and 3.59 percent.

  • Imports of Sumatera Selatan in April 2024 were worth US$167.85 million, decreased by 13.58 percent compared to March 2024, and grew by 189.99 percent compared to April 2023.
  • Imports of oil and gas in April 2024 were US$1.69 million, decreased by 32.98 percent compared to March 2024, and decreased by 58.32 percent compared to March 2023.
  • Imports of non-oil and gas in April 2024 were US$166.16 million, decreased by 13.32 percent .
  • The big three largest trading partner countries in January until April 2024 were China for US$534.14 million (65.78 percent), Finland for US$109.48 million (13.48 percent), and Ivory Coast for US$28.87 million (3.56 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s imports cumulatively during January– April 2024 from ASEAN countries and  European Union reached US$84.51 million (10.41 percent) and US$133.92 million (16.49 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s balance of trade in April 2024 experienced a surplus of US$258.48 million, which affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of US$223.56 million and a surplus of oil and gas of US$34.92 million in oil and gas.
