Abstract

Export

  • The value of Sumatera Selatan’s exports in March 2024 reached US$503.09 million, increased 12.94 percent compared to exports in February 2024 and decreased 21.54 percent compared to March 2023.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in March 2024 reached US$461 million, increased 116.02 percent compared to non-oil and gas exports in February 2024. Meanwhile, it decreased 24.17 percent compared to March 2023.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January – March 2024 reached US$1,389.91 million, decreased 21.48 percent over the same period in 2023.
  • The main country destinations of exports in March 2024 were China at US$196.09 million, India at US$52.71 million, and Malaysia at US$43.09 million.
  • Sumatera Selatan’s exports cumulatively during January– March 2024 reached US$512.26 million for China, US$164.84 million for India and US$128.28 million for Malaysia. These three countries reached 57.95 percent of total export. Meanwhile, the export to ASEAN countries and European Union are 22.40 percent and 3.47 percent.

  • Imports of Sumatera Selatan in March 2024 were worth US$194.22 million, decreased by 15.01 percent compared to February 2024, and grew by 213.45 percent compared to March 2023.
  • Imports of oil and gas in March 2024 were US$2.52 million, decreased by 7.62 percent compared to February 2024, and decreased by 62.89 percent compared to March 2023.
  • The big three largest trading partner countries of non-oil and gas imports in January until March 2024 were China for US$423.37 million (65.72 percent), Finland for US$96.58 million (14.99 percent), and Thailand for US$25.03 million (3.89 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s imports cumulatively during January– March 2024 from ASEAN countries and  European Union reached US$65.42 million (10.15 percent) and US$113.86 million (17.67 percent).
  • Sumatera Selatan’s balance of trade in March 2024 experienced a surplus of US$308.87 million, which affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of US$269.30 million and a surplus of oil and gas of US$39.57 million in oil and gas.
