Abstract

The value of South Sumatra exports in July 2014 increased by 0.31 percent compared to June 2014. However, when compared with the same period in 2013 (July 2013) exports of South Sumatra Province experienced a decrease of 23.30 percent.
The export value of South Sumatra Province in July 2014 was US $ 243.24 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 40.57 million and US $ 202.67 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports.
Malaysia, the United States and China are still the main destination countries for South Sumatra exports in January - July 2014, reaching US $ 410.29 million, US $ 351.01 million and US $ 228.62 million, respectively, with the roles of the three reaching 53.25 percent of total exports in January - July 2014.
Exports to the European Union in January - July 2014 reached US $ 246.07 million (13.24 percent of total exports) and ASEAN exports of US $ 470.02 million (25.28 percent of total exports)
According to the Sector, compared to January - July 2013, exports of industrial products from January to July 2014 decreased by 25.59 percent, as well as agricultural exports decreased by 11.77 percent while mining products increased by 63.56 percent
