Abstract

The total labor force in August 2022 was 103.18 thousand people, an increase of 5.94 thousand people compared to August 2021. In line with the increase in the number of the labor force, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased by 3.37 percent pounds.

The working population is 97.72 thousand people, an increase of 7.02 thousand people from August 2021. The jobs that absorb the most workers in 2022 are agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, which is 59.26 percent. A total of 63.48 thousand people (64.96 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 8.13 percentage points compared to August 2021.

The percentage of underemployed has decreased by 11.20 percentage points compared to August 2021. However, part-time workers experienced an increase of 11.94 percentage points compared to August 2021.

The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 5.29 percent, down by 1.43 percentage points compared to August 2021
