Abstract

  • armer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs
  • In March 2022, South Sumatra's NTP rose 0.62 percent compared to February's FTT, from 114.79 to 115.51. The increase in NTP in March 2022 was due to the price index of agricultural products experiencing an average price increase of 1.25 percent, while the index paid by farmers in general only experienced an average increase of 0.62 percent.
  • The increase in FTT in March 2022 was influenced by the increase in FTT in the Horticulture sub-sector by 3.57 percent, Plantation 0.71 percent, Livestock 0.71 percent and Capture Fisheries 1.67 percent. Meanwhile, other sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 0.02 percent, Fisheries in General 0.02 percent and Aquaculture 2.62 percent.
  • In March 2022, in South Sumatra there was rural inflation of 0.71 percent caused by an increase in the average price index in the expenditure group, namely: Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group 1.01 percent, Clothing and Footwear 0.13 percent, Housing , Water, Electricity and Household Fuel 0.59 percent, Equipment, Equipment and Household Routine Maintenance 0.16 percent, Health 0.36 percent, Information, Communication and Financial Services 0.39 percent, Recreation, Sports and Culture 0 .11 percent, Provision of Food and Beverage/Restaurant 0.54 percent and Personal Care and Other Services 0.54 percent. For the group that experienced a decline, namely the Transportation group by 0.32 percent. While the Education group did not experience any changes
  • The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in March 2022 was 115.05, an increase of 0.98 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
