Abstract

The NTP of South Sumatra Province in December 2021 increased by 0.66 percent compared to the NTP of the previous month
    NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs
    The increase in NTP in January 2022 was due to the price index of agricultural products experiencing an average price increase of 2.13 percent, while the index paid by farmers in general only experienced an average increase of 0.97 percent
    The increase in FTT in January 2022 was influenced by the increase in FTT in the Plantation sub-sector by 1.76 percent, Livestock 0.83 percent, Fisheries in general 2.07 percent, Capture Fisheries 2.01 percent and Aquaculture 2.22 percent. Meanwhile, other sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 0.92 percent and Horticulture by 2.83 percent
    In January 2022, in South Sumatra there was rural inflation of 0.90 percent caused by an increase in the average price index in most expenditure groups, namely: Food, Beverages and Tobacco by 1.34 percent, Housing, Water, electricity and Household Fuel 0.10 percent, Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance 0.60 percent, Health 0.52 percent, Transportation 0.20 percent, Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.22 percent, Education 0.19 percent, Provision of Food and Beverage/Restaurant 0.39 percent and Personal Care and Other Services 0.23 percent. While the other groups experienced a decrease
