Abstract

The export value of South Sumatra in January 2019 decreased by 17.24 percent compared to December 2018. Likewise, if compared with the same period in 2018 (January 2018), the export of South Sumatra Province decreased by 23.17 percent.

  • The export value of South Sumatra Province in January 2019 amounted to US $ 251.17 million consisting of oil and gas exports of US $ 18.39 million and US $ 232.78 million as a result of exports of non-oil and gas commodities.
  • China, Malaysia and the United States are the main destination countries for South Sumatra's exports in the period of January 2019, reaching US $ 54.85 million, US $ 31.67 million and US $ 28.14 million respectively, with the role of the three reaching 45, 65 percent of total exports for January 2019.
  • The import value of South Sumatra in January 2019 amounted to US $ 33.91 million or decreased by 16.14 percent compared to December 2018.
