Abstract
The export value of South Sumatra in October 2018 has decreased by 4.24 percent compared to September 2018. And total exports in the period 2018 (January - October) have increased by 15.64 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
The export value of South Sumatra Province in October 2018 is US $390.76 million consists of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 37.78 million and US $352.98 million is the result of exports of non-oil and gas commodities.
China, Malaysia and India are the main destination countries for Sumatra exports South in the period January-October 2018, each reaching US $1,283.64 million, US $ 459.49 million and US $ 314.82 million, with the role of the three reaching 54.06 percent of the total exports for the period January - October 2018.
The import value of South Sumatra in October 2018 was US $ 35.75 million or a decrease of 11.70 percent compared to September 2018.
Imports of South Sumatra Province in October 2018 amounting to US $ 35.75 million consisted of oil and gas imports of US $ 2.13 million and non-oil and gas revenues of US $ 33.62 million.
The country of origin of imports is the largest period January - October 2018, namely China with an import value of US $ 170.96 million, followed by Italy with import value of US $ 137.66 million and the United States with import values reaching US $70.21 million.
