Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang in October 2014 as many as 718 people. The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in October 2014 decreased by 30.69 percent compared to September 2014.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in October 2014 reached an average of 49.70 percent, or up 2.08 points compared to the TPK of hotels in September 2014 of 47.62 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classifications, it turns out that in October 2014 the ROR for five-star hotels reached 65.21 percent and was the highest ROR for hotels compared to other star-class hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at star hotels in South Sumatra in October 2014 reached 1.93 days, an increase of 0.01 days compared to the average length of stay of guests in September 2014. The average length of stay of foreign guests in October 2014 it also increased by 0.47 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in September 2014.
